Court locations
RSTC reserves courts on Shorebird once a month for Open Play. No registration is required. Just show up and play pickup tennis with whoever is on the courts. (Bring your own balls and water.)
This is a great way to get in some practice prior to the tournament. Come out and enjoy some sun and exercise!
If there are members waiting to play, please play short sets (e.g., 8 games, no-ad scoring) and rotate players in.
FYI, typically, early birds show up at 8:30am. A second wave arrives between 10am and 11am. Play is usually finished around noon or 1pm.

The Redwood Shores Tennis Club is pleased to host the first ever SVTA Juniors Tennis Clinic in Redwood Shores.
This clinic is open to young players of all skill levels (children will be divided by age and ability.) Instruction covers major elements of tennis play: Forehand & Backhand, Serve, and Volleys & Overhead. Prizes provided for hitting targets!
After the clinic, players are welcomed to enjoy the reserved courts for open play until 2pm.
Questions: Email rstc.info@gmail.com or call Karen Brodersen (RSTC) at 650-637-9808 or Aaron Elbert (SVTA) 408-390-5466.
In a Scramble Tournament, you play with a different partner in every set. In a Men's/Women's Scramble, the partner is, ideally, of the same sex, but we do the best we can with the players that we have! Scores are tallied by player and the highest scores win accolades and prizes.
Entry deadline is Tuesday, September 14 5:00pm or when the maximum of 24 players have registered. You may receive a waitlist alert after the registration confirmation email as we have to monitor the number of registrations manually.
For more information: Call 650-637-9808 or email rstc.info@gmail.com.
Don't forget to volunteer when you register. All RSTC events are run by volunteers and we need everyone to do their share. We need a tournament organizer for this tournament!
Don your grass skirts, leis and coconut-shell bras and make your way to the Urrutia’s for an evening of tropical fun.
Did you know that the Hawaiian luau is named after a dish of young taro tops baked with coconut milk and chicken or octopus traditionally brought to a luau? And, how appropriate for the RSTC luau, a contemporary luau is almost always a potluck.
Please bring a dish according to the first letter of your last name:
A-E: Entree
F-L: Side or Salad
M-Q: Dessert
R-U: Appetizer
V-Z: You will be emailed on Friday to let you know what to bring.
